It's very quiet on this website???
Lets take some positives from last week, Triplex are a very good side. Ok we were 2 nil up but we didnt make any silly mistakes like we have been doing week after week to gift the opposition goals. No disrespect to Cammo but I personally believe we need a manager to view the game from the line and see what changes we can make to compensate what other teams are doing. Look at Sunday, they changed the way they were playing in the last 20 mins by pushing centre half on and attacking down the left, hence going on to win the game. We never adapted to this and only changed forwards on and off, and I believe we could have won if we had someone looking on from the side.
Cammo definately needs to play every week as I hear every team we play, hate playing against him.
Not sure where this is going but thats my opinion.
Well done to Pingu, thought he was excellent in goal and can't be blamed for the winning goal, did you know that penguins can't fly and they just flap a lot......(only joking Liam)
Ok Matty if you are reading this, get your ass at home on Sunday to Springville we need to keep the spirit, we will win soon!
I really think if we get same players as last week, we can beat springville!
My calf seems fine so I will hopefully do a bit more running sunday, and maybe hit target for a change.

Just returned form the Doc's... As i suspected the diagnosis was not good..
Trapped a nerve in my lower back about 15mins into the game Sunday...
Looking at about 2weeks on the sideline...
I'll still be there this Sunday, hopefully on time... As i said to Camo on Sunday, I didn't have a good excuse for being late, so i'm not going to try and offer up a bad one.. Lost track of time...
Keep the faith and i'll lok foreward to Liam running up and down the left side...

After a decent personal display at St Mary's and then again against Triplex last week, I was hopeful of keeping the form going but that first goal was a right howler from me so deepest apologies for that cos it was just the start we didn't need. We need to stay in games as long as we can to frustrate the opposition cos as ETC says we always have a chance of nicking goals.
I'll get fitter (we all will) and I'm sure the consistency will return. We all need to keep turning up (and on time JP - no excuses) and with the new additions we might just be competitive this year.

Positives from the game
Despite several players having a serious off day, we never gave in and at last showed some of the dogged determination that made us a very succesful team.
The 2 new boys were a great addition to team and both fitted in well.
Things can only get better.

I agree with JP, everything he says is correct.
Me and Mitch were at the pitch waiting to get changed at 9.50 a.m. 10 minutes before we were supposed to meet.
Remember me and Mitch cant commit to the team every week but will help out......we were the only ones there ?
I rang liccle bruva and he was at Macdonalds at 10 o'clock and only Matty was there?
Gezza turned up on time at 10 and he drove miles! and Micky T shortly after.
At 10.15 i spoke to Deaks and you were still all in McDonalds.?????????
We are all over 35 guys-what the heck you doing eating Macdonalds 10 minutes before we are supposed to kick off and still 5 miles away........ as JP says - UTTER SHAMBLES !
And we looked over the pitch at 10.30 and players were just belly wobbling over the field...... not up for a game at all.
Dressing room or no dressing room, we should be at a ground 30 minutes before kick off......thats rare!
Problem is.....players turn up at 10.20 knowing they will start.
I run an under 16's side and the discipline is bang on and the players know that if they arent there half hour before kick off i drop them. But thats the difference, they actually want to be there.........you guys dont look like you do! Our problem is......no one is bothered that the opposition and ref are waiting. Not only total disrespect but we are never gonna be switched on before a game with that attitude.
The team that went out there was a strong team. We played awful.........me included....end of.
They were up for a game but some of us just didnt wanna be there.....embarrasing.
2-0 down in 90 seconds summed up our organisation........you can blame individuals and i hold my hand high and say i didnt have a good game but its not about that....its about getting your arses to a game on time and preparing!!!!
I feel sorry for JP, Deaks, Wayne, Gezza, and the one or two who turn up every week and want to play.
I'm honest enough to say our home pitch is too far for me as i have been running my own side for 4 years now and i'm commited to it and have to be in Cannock most weeks for 1.30 and just cant do it.
Its about time some of you guys (who probably dont even read these messages) commit to Deaks and be there every week or be honest with him and tell him you dont wanna or cant play.
I know how he feels begging players week in week out to play......it does your head in.....i bet half of you dont even reply to him.
Have some respect guys.......be honest with Deaksy before he commits not only his time but his money to a season that could be over before the first game!
I'll help if i can, and i'll pay £30.00 to the cause....but you dont need players like me......you need players who will commit and play every week.
If you have 5 or 6 that are there every week, 4 or 5 that are there most weeks and players like me that will help out when they can......you might as well wrap it up????
You do need players that you can call on if you are short so dont discount the cliffs and Mitch's but come on guys........Deaksy needs a squd, not helpers!!!!!!

In what can only be described as the worst team performance that i've ever played in !!!
I,ll attempt to start at the beginning and disect the Shambles... that occured yesterday.
1. we need to meet earlier to ensure that our preperation and frame of mind are correct...
2. Most of us need to look at ourselves and decide weather we really want to play....
3. We need players comitted for the duration of the season and not just when they want to turn up.
4. Fitness levels need to improve (especially mine)( You can do this yourselves... Go to the Gym...
5. Deaks needs a hand with the organising...
6. The squad needs improving, anyone know anybody that wants to play???
7. The SUNDAY SHAMBLES GAME.!!!!.. Let's just forget it and move on...
8.Moving on, are we going to Train this Sunday??? we need 12 to agree so that we are able to get a six a side game.
9.I'll leave it at that for now and just hope things improve...

I have confirmed to Deaks that I'll be there Sunday but it looks like it'll be me, Pingu, Pel(?), JP, Deaks (obviously), Micky T (?), Clem (?), Fridge (?)...............Rather concerned that 08/09 will begin where 07/08 left off and was one of the reasons that I too was seriuosly thinking of going the way of Mr Burns (really disappointed about his announcement - will surely be missed).

Having had some doubts at the end of last year, Prem footy is what we crave but we gotta make a better start than last year. I need to get fit cos I'm starting to resemble Pingu around the midriff and that ain't good! Off to Cyprus for 2 weeks all inclusive on Wed and so things will get worse before they get better.

Unfortunatly the Wednesday night training starts at 8pm prompt till 9pm, however we still run to about 9.30, then off to the Sharmans for a cheeky pint or two.. We have moved to Tudor Grange astro turf, we play on a third of the pitch which is knackering and very good for you fitness. We could always do with a few extra players because you need a minimum of 7 a side..
Anyone interested in tomorrows game, bell Deaks in the morning at about 8.30am to get a team slot, i'm in Portugal.!!!!!
The following week you can get me on the mobile and i'll let you know avail places, meet time etc. etc.

Tell me what I'm saying is wrong.....it ain't. Good players have left us over the past 2 years and we are simply not as good as we were when we won Prem 1 by a street and were taking the likes of Cuntinental, Monica to penalties in cup matches. The team of 2-3 years ago I'm convinced would have been competitive in this Prem but alas what might have been and all that.
But, I'd hate to see us fold.
JP - any chance the footy on a Wed could KO at 7pm instead of 8? If there's space for another player, I'd get me arse down there at that time. At least then I can get some fitness going. Adler sends his regards.

Have carried too many niggles, spent too much on physio, missed too many games (due to injury and that f'in pitch), taken too much diclofenac/ibuprofen and lost too much fitness over the last two years. The Prem is bloody tough as it is but at 43 and with all the above and the fact that we were hardly competitive last year and hopefully you'll understand where I'm coming from. I've shown my fair share of commitment over the years (including travelling up from Worcester) but unfortunately bar a hard core of players others haven't (only my opinion of course).
Would love to carry on playing but not at Muntz. I hear we've lost Compo which is disappointing but if Bally turns up every week then he makes up for that. We need fresh blood that's going to add to the team and not simply in numbers terms. If we can strengthen then I'd even consider travelling to Civil Service which is even further away. But, I'm realistic about how we'd fare in the Prem next season and with all things considered I think I'd call it a day.
I remain undecided whatever happens. My gut feel is to pack in but I'd miss the craic and it's the only exercise I get! I recall you having similar doubts a year or two back about carrying on playing for Sherwood (and you had age on your side) so again hopefully you'll understand what I'm saying.

Can people please send Deaks money, he's forked out again to sort league fee's out of his own pocket. So far he has recieved £30 cheque off Bally and I've dropped him £100 round today.

Spoke to Deaks last night, still awaiting to here if we have civil service.
Bally has paid a cheque to Deaks and will be there every game if we are at civil service!
Gez Mac is going to give it one more year if we go down?? Apparantly there is still a chance we may stay in premier but keep u updated !
Still waiting to here off Jonesy and Cammo reckons he maybe able to persuade a couple of players from Exeter or Farthings?

Hi guys, i know what its like to run a team and raise money and keep everything together so i think its only fair i tell you where i am in regards to next season and i hope the other players do the same so the guys running the team know what they have to do.
I can't commit to next season as most of you know i have been running an afternoon team for the last 4 years and this year they are under 16's wiith attitude!!!
I simply cant play mornings and then get to my ground to put up nets etc in time for the 2pm kick off.
I also have a small business just started that is taking off that moment hiring Bouncy boing boing Castles, so i'm a busy bee.

On top of this i only see my kids every other weekend, ok wipe the tears you no hearts, so that also takes priority and watching dad play footy at the age of 41 aint interesting for em!

I'd rather be honest from the start............but you know where i am if you are desperate........and you'd have to be !

Lads I will be there again this season but only in my usual part time fashion. ie to help when we are short of players and to help deaks with collecting subs etc. I am aware that some people have paid up front for next season so fingers crossed I think a team can emerge from the ashes especially as a new season gets closer. Look forward to hearing news on new pitch - thanks again to Deaks for all his efforts with his little helpers in the background.... good holidays !

Please pass on my best to Chompo! We will miss him as he is still a quality player and I respect his decision.
Lets hope we can hang on to the rest of the players, I have the £100 quid i promised Deaks and will be getting it round to him the weekend. JP can you text players to see who is available for next season so we can build on a team and try and persuade some new players to join. Can we post the players on the site that are staying and leaving?

Deaks has once again done all the donkey work with the league so we are ready for next season.
The ground issue will be resolved in the next few days, the cival service have held their gm (last wednesday) and a letter will be posted to deaks with the outcome, eg, availibity and price etc.
As far as im aware not a single person has paid the signing on fee.
I've also heard through the grapevine (well the wheatsheaf pub) that Debbie Harry aka Chompo has joined Sheldon Heath. How true this is i dont know.
Maybe Jp or one of the other bum boy squad could get to the bottom (no pun intended) of this?

PS: Can you save the grissel for the fridge to chew on.

Just to let you all know I am due an operation on my ankle on 3rd July to remove a lump of grissle (ganglion) but should only be off my feet for only a week or two but then rearing to go for new season if we ever get there!!!
